Carme Torrent – Meteorologies of Bodies – Choreographic Action

Carme Torrent trained in classical and contemporary dance and studied architecture at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya while working in several architectural studios, including that of architect Enric Miralles.

In parallel, she developed her work in the field of dance as a creator and performer with choreographers such as Carmel Salazar, Min Tanaka and Xavier Le Roy. Interested in Body Weather (a laboratory of bodily climatology), developed by Min Tanaka and Hisako Horikawa, she travelled to Japan and collaborated regularly with the Tokason company between 2000 and 2009. From 2012 to 2022, she collaborated with Xavier Le Roy on projects conceived for exhibition spaces.

She has also maintained collaborations with artists from a wide range of disciplines, including Alexis Taulé, Octavi Comerón, Maria Antònia Oliver, Javier Peñafiel, Andrés Corchero, Rosa Muñoz, Frank Van de Ven, Constanza Brncic, Ferran Fages, Joan Saura, Bea Fernández, Andrés Waksman, Elena Córdoba, Ana Buitrago, Aimar Pérez Galí and Danya Hammoud, among others.
